New video for Star Wars Day and more

Almost two years ago, we tested new equipment at the botanika Bremen . The short clip, a duel between Hendrik as a Jedi and Markus as a Sith, is now finally done. Thanks to the support of Jesse from Kyberphonic, who also worked on ROTLI , it also comes with great lightsaber sounds.

Apart from that, of course, there was a lot going on in the Star Wars fandom. We ourselves were represented by team members in two places. Since it was also Free Comic Book Day, we were invited by Blackdog Comics in Berlin, where Alex and Timo provided lightsaber entertainment:

In the evening it continued in Laer, where Bente, Doc Timo, Mary and Andreas were guests at „Blockbuster Melodien LIVE“ and entertained the audience with lightsaber duels to fitting Star Wars music:

Markus has extended the 10% discount in the Shop , so grab yours quickly:

For everyone who still wants to win something, here are two tips:

  • Shop news – SNIPS

    Shop news – SNIPS

The Saberproject Shop has something new on offer: SNIPS!

The „SNIPS“ are modeled on Ahsoka Tano's lightsabers from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The set contains both the main hand hilt (main) and the off-hand hilt (shoto). The hilts are made of 6061 aluminum. Both hilts have a 7/8″ blade holder, and matching blade plugs are included. The main has two spring-loaded switches, the shoto one. Each lightsaber comes with a closed and a slotted pommel, which can be swapped at any time. The hilts come in a high-quality collector's box.

They're available as an empty set, with a DIY install kit or fully installed with a Crystal Focus Saber Core 10.

  • We're of age!

    We're of age!

Saberproject was founded 18 years ago today. As always, it's a brief moment in the year to look back on everything.

We could only have dreamed that such a great team would grow out of a small idea to build a homepage about lightsabers. Now that we're of age, we look back on countless shows, workshops, films and, of course, events.

If you'd like to take a little trip down memory lane, feel free to have a look at the event overview .
Some of us have been part of SP for almost, or even more than, half our lives.

We're proud of that, but also of having had an influence on you. Some of you may know Markus and Tim's appearance on KiKa, the German children's TV channel, which was almost 9 years ago. Time and again, kids from back then have told us that it inspired them to do something Star Wars related themselves, from lightsabers to cosplay. There are more and more examples of this. Thank you so much for following us for so long!

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, friends and everyone who has supported our team over the years!

The Saberproject Shop has a new look!

Over the past few weeks, Markus has been working hard on the new web shop for you, and it's finally online!

Of course, the shop can still be reached at the usual address https://shop.saberproject.de/ , but now offers you extended and more intuitive features in a new design. For various reasons I didn't migrate any customer or order data, which means you'll need to create a new account and sign up for the newsletter again.

Take a look and subscribe to the newsletter to stay up to date on deals and new lightsabers in the excellent quality you're used to!

    Happy browsing!

    Event reports June to July!

After being on the road a lot over the last two months, we've updated our event reports and would love to take you along to our latest performances once more.

In early June, Markus and Tim were at the FedConfor the very first time. Two weeks later, a small show troupe went to Neumünster for the Gamevention, and a week after that we went with Disney to the Volkswagen Autostadt in Wolfsburg to celebrate Obi-Wan Kenobi. The finale was at the Project Area 51 in Kiel, the first big film and TV convention in Kiel, where we were finally able to perform a complete show again after two and a half years!

In September we're off to Bremen for botanika goes space, to the Noris Force Con 6 in Nuremberg and to the Technik Museum Speyer for the Science Fiction Days, where we're celebrating a small anniversary, because we were first guests there 10 years ago (read our first event report here).
