What’s your favorite lightsaber and why?
Markus’ Tiro. It’s just an awesome workhorse.
How did you join the team?
As the team’s senior, I saw Star Wars in the cinema back in 1977 and basically absorbed the whole thing with my mother’s milk. This led to a fascination with making films like that, and Kenner toys and my dad’s Super 8 camera produced my first little films.
Then nothing happened for a long time, but the fascination remained. Of course I also watched the prequels, which made me want more, and in 2009 I joined a group of filmmakers who wanted to make their own Star Wars fan film.
That got me into the circles of conventions and other Star Wars events, and that’s how I met Mary, who got me excited about properly engaging with the lightsaber, just to settle the question: “who gets the PlayStation tonight”.
Well, and now I’ll probably be the first SP member to take the stage with a walker someday. 😉
