Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration is the world’s largest official fan event dedicated to the Star Wars universe.
It takes place regularly in different locations around the world and offers visitors an extensive entertainment program, including panels with actors, directors and producers, exclusive announcements about upcoming films and series, and of course loads of merchandise.
Cosplayers, fan groups and elaborate fan activities also enrich every Star Wars Celebration.

We’ve been part of this special event twice so far: in 2013 we had our own booth at Star Wars Celebration in Essen and contributed lightsaber workshops and shows to the diverse program.

What made it special: it was the first time in over 10 years that an “official Jedi Academy” at an event was run by fans again. After an accident involving spectators, only professional performers had been invited for years. In 2013 we were chosen over performers from Disneyland Paris. Lucasfilm was so happy with our work that fan groups have been able to officially offer workshops at Celebrations again ever since.

At Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London we attended as fans and visitors. On site we organized an international meetup with lightsaber groups from various countries. Tim and Markus even got the chance to present their choreography on the Celebration Stage, the main stage of Celebration. Another highlight was the bridge fight video we shot together with other lightsaber-loving fans.

Alex and Tim already visited the first Star Wars Celebration in London back in 2007. The Report about it is one of the first in our event overview. In 2023 the two recreated the photo from back then.
