Pretty much everyone in Germany knows the band Rammstein. With brutal sounds and lyrics beyond every taboo, the Berlin band has been enriching the German music scene since 1994 and still fills entire stadiums today.
From 1995 to 2009, the band supplied its fans with new albums more or less regularly, before things got quieter around the Berlin band after their last studio album “Liebe ist für alle da” (2009).
Fans had to wait a whole ten years before Rammstein returned with a bang in 2019. Along with a new untitled album, commonly just called “Rammstein”, and their first stadium tour, Rammstein also kicked off their comeback with an elaborately produced music video for the song “Deutschland”.
Under the direction of Eric “Specter Berlin” Remberg, we were part of this video too and took on different roles during the shoot. Originally booked for short lightsaber scenes, we ended up as all-purpose extras in this scene-packed work.
The song “Deutschland” quickly climbed to the top of the German singles charts and stayed in the top 100 for 22 weeks. The music video got 25 million views on YouTube within its first week.
