Wouldn't it be great if we could travel to a galaxy far, far away? How about a walk under the twin suns of a familiar desert world or in the shadow of the giant trees of a forest moon? Or a visit to a rebel base on an inhospitable ice planet or a deadly imperial space station?
Out of this idea grew our ambitious fan project, which became reality in 2019 and takes our visitors to a galaxy far, far away …

To cross swords, the first members usually met at Landschaftspark Duisburg. Later on, the opportunity arose to train regularly on Sunday mornings in a small martial arts gym in Oberhausen.
Since summer 2024, ILaS has been part of the martial arts community in Essen and has grown quickly. There are weekly training sessions with different focuses: courses for beginners and advanced members, with an emphasis on technique and content or on developing free choreographies.
While the group had already attended one or two events together with other groups before, 2025 saw its first fairs and conventions with its own booth under the motto “galactic stage fights from the Ruhr”. Let's find out together where the journey goes from here!

Kicks, spins and a dramatic ending are a must, too. Advanced members sometimes fight three at a time, pick up the double-bladed lightsaber („Staff“) or even two blades („Dual“). The foundation is the technical combat system of Saber Academy International. Creative inspiration comes from films, series, and image and video material from other lightsaber enthusiasts.
Throughout the year you can see us on stage at various events in Kiel and Schleswig-Holstein. A well-established fixture is the „Tag des Sports“ (Day of Sports) in Kiel on the first Sunday in September, as well as smaller neighborhood and children's festivals in summer.

Jedi Generation is a friendly club of Saberproject. The show group from Italy not only gives workshops but also creates its own shows.
The academy is structured as a four-year course in which the 7 traditional forms of lightsaber combat from the Star Wars universe are studied and learned.
Studying the 7 forms, divided into modules, aims to teach students the combat moves from the films, with the goal of creating and performing choreographed duels. At the end of each year, students must pass an exam on the part of the program they have learned before they can continue on their path.Jedi Generation turns the Star Wars universe into a live show. From comic fairs to theaters, from corporate events to private parties, we create tailor-made shows for every occasion.
