When we started out in 2006 with a website about lightsabers, we couldn't have imagined everything that would happen over the next 16 years: stage shows, workshops, short films, collaborations with Lucasfilm, Disney, many other big event organizers and even well-known bands. The simple website has turned into an entertainment group.
After two years with only limited events, we can finally perform shows again this year! The announcements will follow soon.
We thank our partners, friends and everyone who has supported our team over the years!

Back in February, Tim was a guest on WDR Lokalzeit, a regional German TV show, and of course we don't want to keep the feature from you.
He and Markus tell you a bit about the team, RISE OF THE LAST INTERN and of course about lightsabers. We think it's a really well-rounded overview of the key facts about the team.

We've been working on lightsaber choreographies since 2006. On the occasion of our 10th anniversary in 2016, Nick Gillard, the stunt coordinator and creator of all the lightsaber duels in the Star Wars prequels, visited us to celebrate. Afterwards, Nick sent us some test footage of the final duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan, which we kept secret at his request.
While Ewan McGregor doesn't appear in this test footage and was doubled, Hayden Christensen did most of the fight himself. The video was shot to give George Lucas an idea of how the final fight could play out.
Small parts of this video were released in the featurette „Star Wars It’s All For Real: The Stunts Of Episode III“. It was first included on the „Revenge of the Sith“ DVD, but can also be found on YouTube.
Anyway: Nick has now given us permission to share this wonderful piece of choreography with you. Enjoy watching!
Since we didn't make this video, it is of course not monetized.
If you want to use the video online, we ask you to do the same and not use it for your own benefit, as it really is something special for us fans and shouldn't be used commercially. That's also why this is an upload of the unedited file we received from him.
Check out our interview with Nick, which we recorded during his visit back then, to learn more about his life, his career and, of course, his lightsaber choreographies! He also shared some details about this video and his ideas for the "Battle of the Heroes".

The online premiere of RISE OF THE LAST INTERN takes place on December 11, 2021, at 6 pm!
At 8 pm there'll be a livestream on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch with the cast, the crew and lots of background info on the film.

Today is finally the day, and we're celebrating the cinema premiere of RISE OF THE LAST INTERN with cast, crew and friends!
As befits a feature film, there's also a movie poster, which we're particularly proud of.
Angelina Benedetti spent months hand-drawing this great poster for our film. Thank you so, so much!
The film will be available online from December 11, so just a little more patience.
Until then, you can watch the final trailer:

It's almost time! On December 11, 2021, we'll finally present the sequel to THE INTERN AWAKENS .
Until then, here's the final trailer. The intern is back, and a well-known Jedi Master gives the interns some tips:

Even though things are slowly getting better and events are appearing on the horizon, we keep looking for ways to bring you news about lightsabers and Star Wars.
On Twitch, YouTube and Facebook there's been a weekly livestream since May, in which we shed light on all the different aspects of lightsaber building, combat and choreography, as well as everything new around our team. If you have burning questions, drop by one of the channels on Tuesdays at 8 pm and spend the stream with us.
The livestream clearly focuses on our activities and lightsaber building, but "behind the scenes" we're also a team, a circle of friends or simply a big bunch of nerds with lots of other interests. Our stage fighters are often in the spotlight, but besides the eight members we also have a circle of more than 15 helpers!
One of our helpers had the great idea of putting all the other stories into a podcast, bringing you even closer to the team.
So Tanja presents „Das Sabbel Projekt“, the first Saberproject podcast.
The podcast is mainly about the people on the team and our interests. Get to know us and our friends, and enjoy factual and nerdy discussions. Das Sabbel Projekt is Saberproject unscripted (in German)
In the first episode, founding members Alex, Timo and Tim introduce themselves and tell how they found each other in the first place and founded Saberproject.

Today Disney unveiled a completely new kind of lightsaber for the first time: the blade extends fully out of the hilt and glows!
There's not much to learn from the teaser yet, except that for now the lightsaber can only be seen on Disney Cruise Line, Disney's cruise ships.
On Twitter, however, the technology is already being hotly debated.
We're taking this year's May 4th as an occasion to start a new livestream series. On Tuesdays at 8 pm, Markus and Tim sit down to discuss everything about the team, the shop, lightsabers and Star Wars in general.

Last year was a completely different one for us, and right now it doesn't look like much will change. We miss events and our team meetups.
Over time, we were able to make further progress on the big project we've been working on for almost two years. Originally, RISE OF THE LAST INTERN, the sequel to THE INTERN AWAKENS, was supposed to be finished last year.
The shoot in October/November 2019 was also our last big joint team project. We never would have thought that we wouldn't be able to see each other for more than a year afterwards.
Since we're planning a cinema premiere to celebrate with the crew who made this film possible in the first place, we're postponing the release to a yet undetermined date in 2021 and taking more time to finish the sequel to our most successful YouTube video.
So today, on Saberproject's 15th anniversary, there's another teaser that offers a glimpse into the story of RISE OF THE LAST INTERN .
We're once again working with Only Sound , who are composing the film's music, and we welcome kyberphonic as a partner to give the lightsaber sounds a film-accurate touch.
Finally, more of the film's stars make their first appearance, because a large crew of club members, friends and even family members were involved in making this passion project happen.
We're celebrating 15 years of Saberproject with you and presenting the story teaser for RISE OF THE LAST INTERN
Of course we're not revealing everything yet, and we still have a few surprises in store for you.
