Jedi-Con 2008 – Day 3

Sunday, 24.03.08 * collect autographs – training – showtime - cutback

Am Sonntag mussten wir auch wieder früh aus den Federn. Nach einem schnellen Frühstück machten wir uns auch schon wieder auf den Weg nach Düsseldorf. Um 8:45 wurden wir in den Fan-Bereich zu unserem Stand gelassen, so wurden die Computer eingestellt und alles wieder sortiert, dabei spielten wir ein wenig mit Florians Hasbro R2(„Hey R2, Game Mode“). Viel Zeit hatten wir allerdings nicht, denn die ersten Besucher kamen schon zu unserem Stand. So wurde wieder gekämpft, geredet und beraten 😉 
Of course we wanted to fetch our guaranteed autographs from the last day, so Alex, Eddy and Lukas went to Steve Sansweet to designate their bags. The “nice lightsabercarryingbags”, so called by Steve, were designated by Daniel Logan, too. Daniel Logan designated a MR Display from Tim with the sentence:”You beat me twice, no wonder I was a bounty hunter“. 

At noondays we trained a last time for our performance. We discussed our distance and steps again. The rest of the time at our stand was full of excitement and more talks. The Fan-Area was closed at 15:30 and the con was ended, but the Closing Ceremony and our performance were missed! We drawed our costumes and went backstage. There we saw Robert Eiba , Steve Sansweet and more!

Erst sagte man uns, dass wir angekündigt werden, doch kurz darauf hieß es, dass wir einfach anfangen sollten, sobald die Musik anfängt. Wir waren alle etwas aufgeregt, obwohl Lukas etwas von allen herausstach ( 😉 ), Alex bekam unter seinem Vader Helm zwar kaum etwas mit, hatte aber Panik über seinen Umhang zu stolpern (was auch beinahe passiert wäre, da ein FX im Weg lag). Jeremy Bulloch kam entspannt von der Bühne und sagte uns nur, dass er das Publikum schonmal angewärmt hätte. 🙂 
Eddy went on stage at the first notes from the first song “Rolling Fighting”! After him Tim went on stage, too and after the sabers were activated the Fight “Anatim vs. Swaktor” began. Eddy and Tim didn’t make mistakes, but then Andre went on stage and “Scoulcher vs. Anatim” began! Sadly, there was a little mistake and one part was done a second time and the music wasn’t at the correct time. But Anatim didn’t win against Scoulcher and his double-sided-lightsaber. After that Lukas entered the stage, the last chance for the glory of the Jedi, and the fight “Shelby vs. Scoulcher” began with a lot of lightsaber spinning. The fight was almost perfect and Shelby won against Scoulcher! For the first moment, everything was good, but the dark lord of the Sith, Darth Vader himself, went on the stage. He defended all attacks from two sabers and killed Shelby with a simple force choke. 
The hope of the Jedi was destroyed ...

Our performance was successful, although there were a few mistakes Robert Eiba wanted to see us on the stage again and we got a lot of applause. We were proud of us, because our show was done well.!

Nachdem wir unsere Kostüme ausgezogen hatten und wieder ins Team-Outfit geschlüpft waren schauten wir uns noch die letzten fünf Minuten der Closing Ceremony an und die Con war offiziell Beendet. 
Jetzt folge das inoffizielle Ende: Das Abbauen….naja, nach kleineren organisatorischen Schwierigkeiten waren alle Autos wieder beladen und wir machten uns auf den Weg zu Tim. 
Dort redeten wir den ganzen Abend über alles Erlebte und schauten uns unseren Auftritt nochmal auf Videos an! 
Die Con war für uns ein voller Erfolg, wir konnten uns gut präsentieren und hatten viel Spaß! Vielen Dank an die Organisation und an alle Leute, die wir getroffen haben, hoffentlich sieht man sich auf der nächsten Con wieder 😉
