The Dark Lord of the Sith used his Episode IV lightsaber in the duel with his former master Obi-Wan Kenobi on the first Death Star.

The lightsaber is based on an MPP flash handle, a camera flash handle similar to the ones used for the Luke Skywalker ANH lightsaber.
The clamp holds the same bubble strip as Luke’s saber, a piece of the display of a Texas Instruments Exactra-20 calculator.
Seven grips, or T-tracks, were also attached to the hilt.
Several versions were built for the film that differed in small or missing details, since they were used for stunt scenes.
