Role at SP?
As treasurer, I’ve been working behind the scenes since 2023 and am responsible for the club’s finances. I’m also always wherever help is needed.
Best memory with the team?
Of all the places and events we’ve seen and got to visit, our 10th anniversary is something I’ll certainly never forget. It’s something special when, on top of everyone who has accompanied us over the years, Nick Gillard shows up and you get to learn some choreographies from the master himself.
Three things that must not be missing at any event?
First there’s the food, and plenty of it, because the effort takes its toll. A small hex key for a loose blade should always be at hand too. The most important thing, though, is our friends and other fan groups, because an event is only really fun together.
Why lightsabers, anyway?
The dynamics of the fights are what got me. You can get creative here in a way you can’t anywhere else. Even the same choreography can look completely different with another partner.
What’s your favorite lightsaber and why?
Having come up with your own design and having that saber as a faithful companion on stage and in training for years is simply unbeatable. From the films, it would probably be the Qui-Gon, since it’s actually quite handy, which you can’t say about almost any other film saber.
How did you join the team?
As soon as the first lightsaber was bought, of course I had to do something meaningful with it. After picking up some tricks with the help of the homepage, I went to my first events, where at some point I started helping out at the booth or in the workshops.
