Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Episode III lightsaber shares its basic design with the one from Episode IV. Strictly in canon, it is the same saber. Still, you can see differences when you compare the two designs. A dedicated prop was made for Episode III, unlike the Episode IV version, which was assembled from various existing components.
Obi-Wan built this lightsaber after the events of Episode II, making it the last lightsaber he used.

Behind the Scenes
There were several variants of the Obi-Wan Kenobi ROTS for the shoot. Besides the hero prop made of aluminum, rubber versions were used for stunts. A simplified version of the hilt was often used for lightsaber duels.
