Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber comes in a subtle black box with a picture and blurb. A display stand is included so the saber also looks good in a display case.
At first glance, the eFX Obi-Wan stunt saber seems cleanly made, but a closer look reveals some flaws. The parts aren't fitted quite precisely and the paint job is not very convincing in places. The plate on the activator box also comes off quite quickly, but can easily be glued back on. The shiny metal-look elements on the pommel and clamp look clean, though, and the eFX convinces in terms of shape too. The authentic dimensions and proportions make it a successful replica.
According to the manufacturer, the eFX stunt sabers have a metal core for more stability. However, our sponsor Toypalace couldn't confirm this, since no metal core was visible even in broken sabers. Due to its shape, this lightsaber is particularly fragile at the thin neck below the emitter. It's suitable as a nice costume accessory, but because of its low durability it's rather unsuitable for conventions and should be considered a display piece. If you still want to wear it on your belt, that's no problem: the saber comes with a covertec wheel as standard.
Even though the manufacturer says it's a stunt saber, no blade can be mounted in the hilt. The Obi-Wan Kenobi eFX saber offers no other functions either and is therefore primarily meant as a collector's item. At €120 it carries a steep price that doesn't quite match its quality. But if you still have room in your display case, you shouldn't miss this affordable alternative to the Master Replicas Limited Edition sabers.
