Fantasy Basel 2022

We were in Switzerland again! This time with our friends from the Saber Academy Karlsruhe, where Markus is a trainer and coaches a young show team.

Together we presented a small show and info program several times a day. That way visitors could learn how we've been living our hobby for more than 16 years and how you can practice the simplest tricks at home, such as the basic spin and the pointless spin. This was framed by a short, action-packed show.

Thursday was a good day to get used to a big event again at all, since we hadn't been to one in almost two and a half years. So finally there were conversations about lightsabers again, occasional tricks and photo sessions in front of our photo wall.

Friday was just as successful, and in the evening there was of course another highlight: finally watching the first two episodes of the new Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi! Our friend Hans-Georg Panczak had joined us with Christian, his guest liaison at Fantasy Basel, so we could enjoy the series premiere together.

After lots of shop talk, the third con day came. A nice highlight awaited us at the end, because as part of the event's last panel we were able to give our little show on the main stage after all. For many members of the young show team, it was also their first performance on a big stage, which they mastered with flying colors!

We thank all visitors and the organizers of Fantasy Basel!
