Sparkasse Family Day CinemaxX Wuppertal

Action at the cinema

After several long and extensive training sessions, our season starts with the Star Wars Days at Legoland. At least it should have, but this year we got to unpack our lightsabers a week earlier.
The occasion was the Sparkasse Family Day at CinemaxX Wuppertal.

Considering that this event didn't take place in an amusement park or the like, but in a cinema, it was very well organized, and our conditions could hardly have been better. We not only had our own theater, but also a stage set up in it. To make the most of this opportunity, we offered several workshops that day. After a short introduction and a little excerpt from our new stage program, the young visitors in particular got to try their hand at lightsaber combat. But since word of such a training mission spreads quickly, there was also an uninvited visit from Kylo Ren, whom our young Jedi forced to flee again after a short fight. Afterwards we were able to show our short film “The Intern Awakens” undisturbed.

There was plenty to experience outside our Jedi temple too. Besides various attractions, everyone could try their luck in a raffle and take home Star Wars prizes, while elsewhere you could satisfy your hunger with deliciously prepared grilled food.

All in all, it was a successful start to the season. At this point we'd once again like to thank the organizers, our helpers on the tech side and of course all visitors who brought this event to life.
