Rey TFA & TLJ

Medium: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Sequels

Thirty years after Luke Skywalker lost it on Bespin, Rey found this lightsaber in Maz Kanata’s castle on Takodana. More precisely, the lightsaber found Rey, because she heard it through a Force vision. How it got there has never been explained.

Finn and Rey use this lightsaber in the duel with Kylo Ren. After trying to return the lightsaber to Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To, she trains with the legendary saber to become a Jedi. In the next duel with Kylo Ren, the hilt is split in two, but the hilt’s story continues.

Behind the Scenes

The design is a mix of the Graflex versions from ANH and ESB. The TFA and TLJ versions have a glass eye again and a washer under the red button. The clamp faces right and is close in design to the ESB version. The same goes for the grips.
