botanika 2019

"botanika goes space" took place in Bremen for the second time. The still young science fiction event, which is something special thanks to the unique backdrop of botanika, has great potential to become a great destination for fans from various fan galaxies.

Like last year, we were there with a lightsaber crafting course for young Jedi, presented a small show and gave workshops.

All of this surrounded by greenhouses, koi ponds and Himalayan replicas is something completely different from the exhibition halls where conventions usually take place.

This year various Star Wars fan groups were there, such as the German Garrison or the Imperathomas e.V., but inhabitants of other galaxies, such as from Star Trek, Halo, Stargate and the Marvel multiverse, could be spotted too.

A small highlight was the performance of the young band "Petractor", who played, among other things, their own cover version of Rammstein's "Deutschland", to which we showed off our lightsaber tricks.

In its second year, the event remains an insider tip; a visit to the very likely next edition is worth it!
