Sci-Fi-Con Randers

Saberproject's first time in Denmark!
On April 12 and 13, 2025, we were at the Sci-Fi-Con in Randers, Denmark, for the first time.

Together with the team of the Project AREA51 charity convention we shared a booth in Hall 2, since many members of the PA51 organizing team are also active members of Saberproject.
Not far from our booth was the stage, where we put on three spectacular performances over the weekend.

For the first time, Wibke and Terje did the hosting. Together they got the audience fired up for our show, and Wibke in particular, with her fluent Danish, was able to win over the international audience perfectly.
We're especially proud that the entire performance in Denmark was put together exclusively by comparatively new members. Everyone involved has been part of the team for two and a half years at most, and yet the show, with music, sound system and hosting, ran as professionally as if they'd never done anything else.

Language barriers? Absolutely no problem among lightsaber enthusiasts!

On both days we had lots of cool conversations and constructive exchanges at our booth, including with the Dansk Lyssværd Fællesskab, a young lightsaber school recently founded in our neighboring country, whose progress we'll follow with great interest.

A big thank you also goes to the lovely photographers on site who provided us with lots of great pictures, such as Reckweg Foto!

All in all, we agree: our visit was a complete success, and we're already looking forward to next time!
