Even though today we're mostly out and about at events as a show group, our roots lie in collecting lightsabers. Without a shared interest in Master Replicas replicas, Timo, Alex and Tim would never have found each other almost 20 years ago.
True to our motto “Everything about lightsabers” , our website has always had lots of content, especially about FX lightsabers and how to mod them. But the scene has changed: the range of custom and film replicas is more diverse today than ever, and over time our content simply became outdated.
That's why, almost ten years ago, we came up with the idea of a lightsaber database: a reference work that gathers as much information about lightsabers as possible in one place. Some ideas take time, and now it's here: the first version of our new Lightsaber Database is online!
On board is our new mascot Professor Huyang , the keeper of lightsaber knowledge. At launch you'll find all the lightsabers of the main characters of the Skywalker Saga. Each info page offers matching screenshots from the films, complemented by image galleries and reviews of well-known manufacturers: our "vintage" content from the last two decades.
But this is only the beginning. In the future you can look forward to:
- More lightsabers from movies and series
Sequels, spin-offs, books and comics will also find their place. - Custom lightsabers
We'll show our own designs, and you can send us your projects! With a link if you like. This section is mainly meant as inspiration for your own designs. - Behind the Scenes
Here we collect photos and videos of the real film props and provide background info, ideal for anyone who wants to build particularly screen-accurate replicas.
Lightsaber duels will also play a role in the future, there's more in the works here.
We'll put more energy into our website again and provide you with everything a lightsaber fan's heart desires.
And now, off to the Database! Professor Huyang is already waiting!
Special thanks go to our friends at the Jedi-Bibliothek, who let us take a look behind the scenes and whose knowledge we used for our database. Visit them to learn everything about Star Wars literature (in German)!
