Mary’s faithful companion
Hardly any saber at Saberproject has as many stories to tell (mostly about falling off something) as Mary’s Tiro, affectionately known as just “the Red One”. Since early 2018 it has accompanied her to countless training sessions, performances and conventions. Eye-catching: the red leather wrap on the hilt, which not only provides a better grip but also earned the saber its nickname.
Mary has tried out new models now and then (mainly from the Saberproject Shop), but in the end she always comes back to her Red One. No wonder, this saber has character. It has been used on every surface: asphalt, concrete, grass, gravel… The traces show today as authentic weathering on the hilt.
And even though it regularly ends up on Markus’ workbench after hitting asphalt too hard once again, the Tiro has practically molded itself to Mary’s hand and, despite a few dents, remains her most loyal companion.
The Lightsaber in Shows
Here’s a selection of pictures of the lightsaber being used in shows.
Fun fact: even musician Adel Tawil has held the Red One and had a short duel with it.
