Badaxx

Character: ,
Medium:

The Badaxx is a saber from the Production Series by Genesis Custom Sabers (GCS). The curved hilt is one of the few designs that doesn’t come directly from the lore. GCS was the very first maker to venture a curved custom design, which quickly became very popular in the international community.

Markus bought the saber secondhand in 2015. In 2021 he completely rebuilt its internals, replacing the Crystal Shard 2.0 with the Crystal Focus Saber Core 10 and swapping the RRW Tri-Cree high-power LED for a Neopixel PCB.

Genesis Custom Sabers (GCS) was a Canadian lightsaber maker that produced some of the most iconic sabers between 2004 and 2025. Its owner, Rob Petkau, was a pioneer of lightsaber building and one of the first to offer lightsabers with light and sound.

His work is highly respected in the community. In terms of quality, his sabers have always been top of the line and represented the state of the art in their day. His interpretations of the hilts of various Expanded Universe characters achieved cult status, including those of Darth Bane and Corran Horn.

Since Rob saw himself not only as a craftsman but also as an artist, a lot of time went into the design process of his sabers.

Besides production sabers such as the Badaxx, the Ascend or the Creed, he was known above all for his Elite lightsabers. These are mostly one-offs and always stand out because they use the latest technology and because every saber has something unique, be it especially delicate etched patterns or a crystal chamber that pops out.

Is the archive incomplete?

Even though we put a lot of work into the content ourselves, we don’t know everything and don’t own every lightsaber.
