Master Replicas produced FX lightsabers between 2002 and 2007; they are no longer available in stores. They sold for around 120 euros back then, but some of these sabers are now worth many times that.
These sabers have a blade fitted with 64 LEDs, which simulates the extend and retract effect of a real lightsaber. They also have a built-in soundboard that can play various swing and clash sounds.
Even though the blades themselves are made of sturdy polycarbonate, the LED strips inside are fragile, which is why only a rehearsed show fight is recommended. You can make the sabers combat-ready with the help of our tutorials.
