Technik Museum Speyer 2025

27 September 2025 – 28 September 2025

For the twelfth time we were guests at the Science Fiction Meetup at the Technik Museum Speyer, the highlight of our year, every year. And as always, it felt a bit like coming home: our stage shows once again took place in the "Forum", which we lovingly call our living room.

On both days we presented three shows on stage, and they were all very well attended! The atmosphere was great, we had lots of fun and the audience was really on the edge of their seats. The last two Sunday shows were even so full that we offered standing room at the very top of the old IMAX.

There was a special highlight at our second stage show on Saturday: Myleen and part of her lightsaber school club „Team Star Story“ had traveled all the way from Recklinghausen and crafted 400 small glow-stick lightsabers, which they handed out to the audience. That created a very special atmosphere in the hall, and an absolutely fantastic group photo! A huge thank you to the whole Team Star Story for this great idea!

For the first time in Speyer, we also offered mini workshops, where interested visitors could pick up a lightsaber themselves and try out first strikes and choreo elements. Kids also had the chance to get creative with lightsaber crafting. Both were a trial run, and the response was so positive that we'll very likely build on it next year.

Of course we were also there with our booth. There, visitors could not only learn about our team and expand their trading card set with booster packs, but also take a look at the high-quality lightsabers from the Saberproject Shop. Our display cases also showed selected exhibits, which sparked lots of exciting conversations.

A special moment of the weekend was the naming of three new honorary members: Corinna, who organizes the event with her team from the Technik Museum Speyer and has supported us for many years, and Tim's parents, Ursula and Ralph, who have been with Saberproject from the very beginning with advice, help and lots of heart.

A big, heartfelt thank you also goes to the Saber Academy Karlsruhe, who enriched the show with some high-energy choreos and really rocked the workshops!

Thank you, Speyer, we're already looking forward to next time!
