After a long wait, it's finally happening: The second season of Ahsoka will be released on January 20, 2027 will be released, and after a look at the new trailer and the incredibly detailed costume work at Disney's D23 fan event, expectations are high. New characters and new locations, as well as new choreographed fight scenes.
The teaser offers a brief glimpse of a fight sequence with a new double-bladed lightsaber with a light blue blade. The staff seems to pull apart, so that a third blade connects the two hilt halves. One theory already making the rounds in the fan community is that the new character is Marrok, before he became an Inquisitor. Other theories go even further and claim it could be Exar Kun .
We're especially happy that Huyang (who has become our mascot) can be seen with no fewer than four lightsabers in the new season and takes on Shin Hati.
Since Ezra Bridger made it back home after season 1, we're looking forward to more lightsaber action with him.
By the way: Almost two years ago, at the Comic Con Stuttgart Tim got to interview Eman Esfandi, who plays Ezra, and teach him a few lightsaber tricks. Apparently they came in handy during filming 😉
