There is a huge choice of Power LEDs which has already led to irritations. Because of this we have a list of all suitable LED with a link to da german online-shop. We listed up the LEDs which are most suitable for the different configurations of the CFSC.
We composed the best LEDs that are in the run!

Luxeon K2 and Rebel:
The CFSC is also able to run Luxeon K2 and Rebels. You chose the Rebels best, if you want to change the sabers color by choosing a soundbank (possible since CFSC V4.0)
For these two kinds you might have to buy a separate Star PCB and the Emitter versions of the LED, that will be mounted on the PCB.


Resistors:
To each LED there should be wired a resistor to safe the lifespan of the LED.
We don’t use them, since the difference is very small but the LED gets much brighter.
The lifespan will be shortened, but this will not disturb, here an example:

A LED has a lifespan of about 100000 hours, equals 11,4 years of permanent usage. Without the resistor the lifespan of the LED will be reduced to about 30000 hours, almost a quarter of the original.
We assume that the saber is not activated all the time, but “only” 14 hours a week. That’s a lot, almost no one has his saber activated 2 hours a day.
14 hours a week multiplied with 52 weeks a year equal 728 hours a year. Since we reduced the lifespan to 30000 hours, we divide 30000 hours with 728 hours a year that makes a lifespan of rounded off 41 years!!


Further advice about overdriving:
Since the LED is ran with more than the recommended current it gets hotter, what decreases the lifespan!


 




On top of the LEDs one needs for a conversion of a Master Replicas saber a lense and a lensholer, a heatsink and a heat transportion glue or pads.

NOTE:
NOTE One can saw the heatsink into 5 similar pieces and use for 5 conversions.
The heat condictive glue or -pads bond the LED to the heatsink.
