The main product of Plecter Labs is the so-called Crystal Focus Saber Core, abbreviated CFSC or, still shorter, CF.
This soundboard is produced handmade from single compoments by Erv'. Behind this pseudonym there is a french Star Wars fan, who is an excellent electronik tecnician. Early in 2007 the first version "V1" had been released, with less functions than the current version "V4.1" at that time.

The CF Board is the most extensive soundboard one can buy his oder her saber. The board costs 115€ but it is worth its price. The light of the saber is emitted by a high power LED e.g. a Luxeon III. In contrast to the MR soundboard the CF board is able to work with a Luxeon V which is brighter. This is just a question of the kind of battery/accumulator. Whether one uses batteries, accumulators or lithium-ion-batteries everyone has to decide for himself.
A special is that there is an extra pushbutton which is used to controll some effects as well as to navigate trough the soundmenu

⇒ The most simple possibility to start uo the board is this:

• batterypack
• High Power LED (Luxeon oder Seoul)
• Momentary Switch or push switch for On/Off
• Momentary Switch as auxiliary Button
• Ein switch or rechareport as "Killswitch"

The most noticeable difference between the CF board and normal soundboards e.g. the Master Replicas soundboards, UltraSound oder Hypersyne is a SD_/Micro-SD-memory-card. On this memory-card, which you can find in any digital camera or mobile phone, there are all important files for all functions of the board.

• folder "bank1" till "bank6", as well as the folder "tracks"
• menusound "one" till "six", as well as the sound "player"

• poweron, poweroff
• clash1 to clash8
• swing1 to swing8
• force, hum, lockup, blaster, boot, menubgnd

NOTE: All sound data files including the menusounds are saved as ".raw"-files, this is headerless .wav-format. Furthermore the sound must have the following specifications: 22050Hz / 16bits / unsigned / little endian MORE ABOUT THIS SOON UNDER TUTORIALS

In the "track"-folder there are the "boot.raw", "leds.txt" and the "config.txt" only. In addition "track1.raw" till "track16.raw" can be saved there. A lightsaber with a CF soundboard does not contain six soundbanks only but it can be used as a player, too.

⇒ Summary of all function:

• six soundbanks, all sounds selectable
• music can be played as well
• perfect perception function of motions trough supersensitive sensors
• sensitivity can be adjusted in any "config.txt"
• config.txt contains 32 parameters to adjust the different functions (e.g.: flicker-effect of the LED)
• the board supports all types of High Power LEDs (Luxeon III, V, K2, Seoul, P4, Z-LED, Rebel and RGB-LEDs)
• four normal LEDs can be soldered on the board, the blinking diagram can be chosen personally
• an extra LED which just blinks when the battery/accumulator is low
• "Recharge Port" can be attached, trough this charging is alleviated
• vibrating motor which works only when clashing or which let the force shake the hilt continuously ;)
