Darth Vader ANH Force FX Lightsaber (2007)
First Impression:
“The circle is now complete…” The Vader ANH gives a very good impression!
It looks similar to the original and it actually makes a “sith-like” effect.
The discrepancy to the Vader ANH of 2003 is visible immediately! The Vader of 2003 is a lot larger, the new one is less and closer to the original. The height conforms to that of the Vader ESB.
Handling:
As every Vader saber the hilt is comparatively “fully packed”, some may like this “clumsy” appearance, other may not.
However the balance is excellent and well-adjusted. In differential to the Vader ESB there are no small “cable-bridges”.
The clamp is 45° further raked to the left than the one of the ESB, which is adapted to a right-handed person in particular!
Light and Sound:
The Vader ANH offers the typical sith-sounds. Blade and light are the same as those of the Maul TPM.
Unfortunately Master Replicas didn’t come up with something new for this last saber. (…)
Wearout:
Barely anything known.
Conclusion:
A great saber! One holds the dark side of the force virtually in his hands!
It looks similar to the original and combined with the Luke ANH one has a pretty “father and son” package.
Even if one possesses the Vader ANH of 2003 the edition of 2007 is recommendable, because it looks elementary more accurate. There is no information over various editions of this saber, it released on April 12, 2007.
