The tube is quite stabile, an empty tube stands many hits!
The film makes the light not appear spotted, the whole blade shall light up evenly. The foam saves the LED strip against hits. But harder hits can cause loose contacts. Around the LEDs there are small plastic caps, also to spread the light more evenly.
