First impression:
At first sight it can happen that one is not even able to recognize the form of a lightsaber in these two tonfas for both actually look like chromed police truncheons.
In contrast to "real" tonfas the light's blade is about 15cm shorter than a normal lightsaber blade.
The first impression turns the "light tonfas" into interesting looking items one wants to test at all costs.

Handling:
The whirling and spinning with tonfas is something completely different as doing so with other types of lightsabers, because the hilt is built in a 90 degree angle to the rest of the saber.
The activator is attached perfectly at the side of the gripping area and thus easily activated. While using the saber there is no opportunity of deactivating the saber.
The tonfas require practice and conversion and are not to be compared to normal lightsabers. It is fun tot think of new tricks and spins with the two Maris Brood FX-lighttonfas, even if one has to get used the handling.

Light and Sound:
In both testing modells again toysabers' Hasbro boards were utilized, which really is no optimum soundboard for a lightsaber's replica.
However one does not really pay attention to the sound oneself, for one has to get used to the unusual motion sequences at first.
As LED a red HPLED was utilized coming into one's own because of the shorter blade.

Abraison:
The risk of clashing both hilts is comparatively high, which can cause unrequested scratches at the hilts - so watch out!

Conclusion:
The two Maris Brood FX-lighttonfas really are someting special in the Star Wars universe and a perfect complement to every collection of lightsabers.
Who wants to use the FX for show fighting as well will have to learn the handling with this different weapon and get used to the new motion sequences first.
