Anakin Skywalker ROTS Force FX Lightsaber (2007)

First Impression:
On the first view, while unpacking the saber, one has the impression that nothing has changed in comparison with the forerunner from Master Replicas. On closer inspection and in contrast to its forerunner-model this impression is confirmed. Neither the outward appearance nor the inner design has altered.
Handling:
Compared to the version of Master Replicas the handling has not changed. The weight of 924 gram (including batteries) is slightly heavier than its forerunner (890 gram). However the difference is barely noticeable.
The forerunner's light top-heaviness is to be found in this saber, too, but in the Hasbro version this is no further distracting.
The grand shifter at the side of the clamp remains inappropriate so that accidental switching-on and -off still is a problem while doing stunts and fights.
Light and Sound:
The blade glows in a handsome blue. Compared with the Luke ANH the sound is slightly louder and more effectual.
The soundboard possesses 3 moving- and 4 chlashsounds, which sound just like the soundboards of Master Replicas.
Abrasion:
The emitter's black lacquering spalls by and by; afterwards the blue colour of the blade shines through, for the emitter consists of a different plastic than the one of Master Replicas.
Moreover the coppereyes loose their colour and fade after a certain time, especially when the saber is used often.
The golden metal blank on the clamp as well as the golden shifter loose their colour, too, and the yellow plastic underneath comes into sight, which harms the visual appearance.
Conclusion:
A very handsome saber. Outwardly all details from the forerunner-model were taken over.
The characteristics remain the same; therefore our referral to this saber as a perfect beginner's saber still is in force.

Resulting Mark: 10/10
