Hasbro produces lightsabers for a longer period, but for children from three years. Which lightsaberfan didn’t begin with a oversized, cheap plasticsaber by Hasbro ;)
After Master Replicas didn’t extend the license of Lucasfilm Ltd. in 2007 it was split and sold to eFX and Hasbro. Hasbro now owns the license for high-quality, licensed FX-lightsabers!
It was speculated if the quality will stay at the Master Replicas level. This is the case, since Hasbro releases instead of new FX the old Master Replicas sabers new.
So Obi-Wan ROTS, Anakin ROTS, Maul TPM, Vader ANH and Luke ANH will be sold in a box with the Hasbro logo instead of the Master Replicas one.
Which sabers there will be in future is unknown, fans of the FX series hope for an Obi-Wan TPM, Qui-Gon TPM or of course a saber of Count Dooku. But Hasbro didn’t do any announcement and nothing new is known.
