A blade like this also has no resistance as a steel sword or a comparable weapon. So its not possible to grab the blade e.g. to block an attack. Is the blade inside a body, the body is not controllable with it! The energy blade erodes/ cuts through the body/ material and that in an enormous speed without moving the body.

In Example:
Is a samurai-swords blade inside a human body, so I am able to control the enemy by turnarounds and the blade. For example I could use him as cover against a next attack. Using a lightsaber, this would not work, because the blade would chop him in half instantly. It is comparable to cut butter with a glowing wire, the butter would not move a millimetre. In contrast to a knife (representing the steel sword), the butter would follow the knifes movements.

Further on a lightsaber has no cutting edge, as the whole blade is used to attack (as i.e. a staff)! A katana has only one edge, so a completely different technique is required. Would you give a lightsaber to a samurai, he would have to change almost everything, though he has such great skills and knowledge. So he had to start a completely different training (except of some exclusions) to handle such a weapon correctly and safe. Using a lightsaber, power or speed are irrelevant, relating to a hit. As soon as the blade is in contact to any item, it is destroyed or cut. The only excepts are hitting another lightsaber, specific energy fields or special alloys on some weapons.

Selbst derjenige, welcher solch eine Waffe führt, kann erhebliche Verletzungen davontragen. Bei einem Samuraischwert entstehen vielleicht nur einige Schnittwunden oder auch tiefere Verletzungen. Bei einem Lichtschwert hingegen, ist das getroffene Körperteil meistens durchtrennt, da die Klinge keinen Kraftaufwand benötigt. Ein Lichtschwert verzeiht also selbst dem Träger keinen Fehler!!! Even the one handling such a weapon can get heavy injuries. A samurai sword can cause cuts or other harms; a lightsaber mostly cuts the hit part of the body off, since the blade doesn’t need any effort. So a lightsaber doesn’t excuse any mistakes! Who wants to deal with such a weapon, should know its characteristics. Only this way a lightsaber is to handle authentically! At first you will notice, that it isn’t that easy and how many lives you would have lost, if it was a real lightsaber! Except of the hurts and damages. A lightsabers function is also important, because you should know your weapon to control it perfectly.
